The Yorkshire Wolds is a land of gently rolling hills and secret valleys stretching from York to the Heritage Coast at Flamborough. In the south-east, beyond the vibrant city of Hull and the Georgian town of Beverley, are the vast skies of Holderness which inspired poet Philip Larkin: '"where wind-muscled wheatfields wash round villages, their churches half submerged in leaf". The Wolds boast several superb trail rides, with several equestrian centres which give a great variety of riding experiences.
